| 2005 JR Season Stats: 47 receptions, 670 yards, 12 TDs. Defensively, he had 27 tackles, 1 sack, 9 INTs (1 returned for TD), 2 punt returns for scores. Track: Won the 4A-state long jump competition (23'10). Also competes in the triple jump (47'9) and runs the 200 (21.6 seconds).
Final senior stats (2-8): six interceptions and eight touchdowns.
Cox reports a 2.5 GPA and a 15 ACT. He has not set up a retake yet.
Cox: "I can shut a good receiver down on defense," said Cox. "I'm pretty athletic and like to play heads up. I'm real good at man coverage. I want to get bigger and be able to go head to head with a big tailback better."
Cox is also being recruited to run track. "I definitely want to do both sports," said Cox. "I love track and it helps with my football."
