“I’m still looking at UVa, Notre Dame, Florida and Florida State,” said Nwankwo, a Boston-native whose family is from Nigeria. “There’s a lot to think about between now and my decision. I really don’t have a timeframe for when I’ll announce anything, but it will be after I take a few official visits.”

Offensive lineman Emeka Nwankwo is still looking at the same schools he has been for a while and he does not appear to be any closer to making a decision.

He continues, however, to speak with coaches and weigh the pros and cons of each potential college destination.

What does he like about each school?

Virginia has shown me the most love throughout this whole thing,” said Nwankwo. “That means a lot to me. It’s nice to feel like you’re considered ‘the guy’ for someone.

“Notre Dame has a good future with Charlie Weiss. Their offense is going to be exciting and they’re adding a lot of talent. Florida looks like a program on the rise, too. I think they’re going to be real good in the coming years. At Florida State it’s all about Bobby Bowden. You usually wouldn’t have a chance to go to FSU and play early, but they need some offensive line help.”

Nwankwo helped Hollywood (Fl.) Chaminade Madonna to a season-opening 34-6 victory. He only played on the offensive side of the ball.
