Coley Working Hard

Henry Coley is being recruited as a middle linebacker, but looked more like a strong-side linebacker or defensive end prospect in Baltimore on Sunday. He showed good size and could benefit from standing over a tight end or getting his hand on the ground in certain situations.
Henry Coley
went down to
Duke
on Saturday for their Spring Game, then traveled to Baltimore, arriving late Saturday night and worked his butt of Sunday at the Scout.com Combine.
Maryland
and Duke are both looking at Coley to play middle linebacker, but after watching him on Sunday he looks more like a defensive end/outside linebacker prospect. Coley has the size to line up over the tight end and even get his hand on the ground on some snaps.
Coley measured 6-foot-1, 224 pounds and has the frame to easily put on much more weight. He posted a 4.84 second 40-yard dash, short shuttle was 4.68, and his 3-cone drill time was 7.55 seconds. These numbers were in all the upper half of the linebacker prospects at the combine.
Henry was happy with his 40-time, saying it was the best electronic time he has ever gotten.
“I didn’t know what to expect with my 40. I have not had that much experience on the laser timers, but I ended up posting the best time I ever have on a laser. I was pretty content with that.”
Coley wants schools to take a look at the physical nature at which he plays and also see that he has room to grow and hopefully consider him as a Sam linebacker or even a defensive end.
He visited Duke this past Saturday and really likes what he saw.
“I really hope Duke offers me. I love the school, the campus, the program, everything. I could definitely see myself playing there. Coaches sounded positive and sounded like they liked me a lot at the Spring Game, so we’ll see.”
