Hussam Ouri came to the Scout.com Baltimore Combine on a mission to prove himself against some tough competition, and he did not disappoint. I was very impressed with his overall effort and energy all day. He is being recruited by a number of ACC, SEC, and Big East schools.
“My short list includes
North Carolina
,
Duke
,
West Virginia
,
Pittsburgh
,
Georgia
,
Alabama
, and
Boston College
. There are others but those schools are showing the most interest as far as asking me to send them tape and trying to set up visits to the schools.”
Ouri pushed himself all day on Sunday and showed impressive overall athleticism. He showed good footwork, and played well in one-on-ones on both offense and defense. He also showed some serious pass rush ability. Check out the monster swim move in the video below.

One thing that Ouri is frustrated about is the waiting on that first scholarship offer.
“It’s driving me crazy. I know that once the first one comes I won’t feel this way anymore, but waiting for that day has been tough.”
After coaches get a chance to view his film they won’t have much to think about. Ouri should be nicknamed Mr. Hustle for the way he pursues on defense. It’s not normal for a defensive tackle to be chasing plays and making tackles ten yards downfield. Keep an eye on Ouri because once the first offer comes the floodgates are going to open. He is a good player and a better individual, something very appealing to schools.
Ouri ran a 5.34 second 40-yard dash, faster than Dunbar’s (Washington DC)
Charles Tillman
and Dupont’s (Delaware)
Terrace Bourne
, two other major defensive tackle prospects.
Sharrif Floyd
, a four-star defensive tackle ran an 8.76 second 3-cone drill, a mark that Ouri beat by a half-second at 8.23. He is legit and the first offer should get the ball rolling.
