It was only a matter of time but former Virginia quarterback Aaron Brooks has found a new job. After being released by the New Orleans Saints last week Brooks has come to negotiations with the Oakland Raiders on a two year contract.
Brooks was arguably the top quarterback left in the free agent market and his overall abilities at the QB position made him one of the top players left in the free agent market. Although the exact numbers for Brooks' contract are unknown it is expected that he will probably land a salary between $4-$5 million per year.
His tenure in New Orleans had run its course as he spent the latter part of last season on the bench. Brooks had passed for over 3500+ yards in each of the past three previous seasons before ending the streak this year due to being relegated to the bench.
With a new coach at the helm in Art Shell and some weapons at his dispense Aaron Brooks has a chance to reenergize his career with the help of receivers Randy Moss and Jerry Porter. Just a few days short of his 30th birthday Brooks should enjoy a chance to show doubters that he indeed is one of the better quarterbacks in the league when surrounded by good talent, at least that's what the Raiders and Al Davis are hoping.

Aaron Brooks is taking his talent to Oakland to play for Art Shell's Raiders.
