Last year Devin Smith had an outstanding senior season for the Virginia Cavaliers. Throughout his career he battled injuries and earned the nicname of "Superman". Now the former Cavalier has taken his game overseas to play professinally.
Suiting up for Bruesa-Guipuzcoa Basketball Club in Spain Devin has carried on right where he left off in Charlottesville. Leading his team in scoring and playing some dynamite basketball Smith is flourishing for his new squad. Averaging 16.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game he's already establishing a strong case as not only one of the top Americans but one of the best players overall in the LEB league. Currently he stands as the third leading scorer and is shooting at a high percentage. Knocking down 52% from the field and 35% from behind the three point line Smith's shooting prowess hasn't slowed down one bit in Spain.
Right now Devin's Bruesa team has a record of 13-11 which puts them at 7th in the league standings. We will continue to track Devin as he plays professionally overseas throughout the year.
