Smith to Decide Early

Smith to Decide Early

"I will make my commitment before the season," Smith said.

Aaron Smith, from Gateway High School (PA), is closing in on his college decision. The 6-0, 185-pound athlete has narrowed his choices to five schools, and one school is close to receiving an early commitment from the three-star recruit.

"My favorites are Pittsburgh, Maryland, Michigan State, Penn State, and Virginia," said Aaron Smith. "I don't have an overall favorite. They are all equal."

Virginia is one of the schools that has come on strong in the last month. They have been recruiting the star athlete since the early stages of his recruitment, and Coach Dan Rocco is trying to persuade Smith to head to Charlottesville.

"Coach Rocco has been my recruiting coach. He's a real good coach and a good guy. I like Virginia a lot. I like the coaches, the campus, and the facilities," Smith added.

Smith plans to reach a decision before his senior season. One key element will not play a factor in his final decision.

"I will make my commitment before the season," Smith said. "There are several things I am looking into when I decide which school is best for me. Location will not play a factor in my decision. All of my favorites are close to home."
