Landstown High School is home to some of the best receiving talent in the country. Percy Harvin headlines the team along with Damon McDaniel. At the Virginia 7v 7 passing tournament Landstown added the number one receiver in the country to their team.

"I am not sure if Vidal (Hazelton) is coming to our school this year or not," said Damon McDaniel. "He played on our team this past weekend at the passing camp. I didn't know he would be playing with us. He sort of just popped-up out of nowhere. I do know his parents are considering sending him to Landstown this year."

Throughout the tournament, teams were hoping not to play the fully loaded Landstown team. McDaniel played a vital role in the team's success.

"I thought we did alright. We should have won the whole thing, but we lost the game before the championship in the play-offs. I thought I did good overall. We all did real good," said McDaniel.

Named a three-star receiver by, McDaniel learned more about the University of Virginia during camp. He continues to list the Cavaliers as one of his top choices.

"I spoke with Coach Groh and Coach Garret during the camp," McDaniel said. "They were telling me how I was one of their top priorities. They said how much I could benefit not only from playing football, but earning a degree from Virginia."

"I would recommend Virginia to anyone. It's a great school, and I am still very interested in them," McDaniel added.

McDaniel is hesitant in naming favorites and said, "I don't really have any favorites right now. I want to take my time. I am not going to make any decision until after I take all five of my official visits." Recommended Stories
