One of the best defensive lineman on the east coast is Phillip Taylor from Gywnn Park High School in Maryland. The 6-4, 340-pound monster lineman has received over forty scholarship offers.
"The only place I have been to is Maryland," said Phillip Taylor. "I went down there for their one day camp, but I was only there to observe. I am going to Penn State’s camp this weekend. I don’t know if I will go to any other camps. I do know I will take an unofficial visit to Florida probably in July."
Taylor’s offer list is growing every day, and he added two new offers recently. "My newest offers are from Pitt and Virginia Tech. I’m up to over 40 offers now. I don’t really have any favorites right now. Everyone is even," said Taylor.
Taylor has not narrowed his list of favorites, but knows what he is seeking in his college choice. "Education is definitely number one," he said. "I will look at the team’s prestige, and the coaching staff. I am not sure when I will begin to narrow down my list of favorites."
On the defensive line Taylor recorded 30 tackles including two sacks, and he racked up 15 pancake blocks on the offensive line.
Taylor projects as a full qualifier. He has a 3.38 GPA and scored a 890 on the SAT.
