Meet 2005 Signee Jason Fuller

"It's a great opportunity at an up and coming football program. The academics at Virginia are also great."

Jason Fuller, the big defensive linebacker out of Virginia Beach, Virginia last year committed to the Cavaliers. Hoonation recently had the pleasure of talking to him, here is what he had to say.

"I want to major in Business, and then minor or maybe major in Political Science," said Fuller.

What role does Fuller plan to have next year with Virginia?

"The Coaches have told me that I'll play outside linebacker next year. So I'm just going to do everything I can to help the team."

What can fans expect from Fuller?

"Just for me to never quit, I'll always never give up."

So why did Fuller decide on Virginia?

"It was the overall best around school and football program for me, they are just excellent in everything, the campus was beautiful. For me Virginia just felt like the right thing."

"He is very personable, while at some schools the coaches are just in the background, Coach Groh is always in the thick of things and in your face," said Fuller about Coach Groh.

Right now Fuller says he has been working hard lately in working out and has been adding a lot of strength and some weight. As for weaknesses Fuller says you can always be better at something, nothing is perfect.

How does Fuller think the team will do next year?

"I think we will have an outstanding year next year. As for a number it's too early for me to predict that."

What college is Fuller most looking forward to beating?

"Definitely Miami. A friend of my sister played for Miami, so now it's a big family rivalry."

If Fuller had to make a pitch to other recruits to come to Virginia what would he say?

"It's a great opportunity at an up and coming football program. The academics at Virginia are also great."
