Yarbrough Impressed By UVa Morning Practice

Clark Yarbrough made his return to Virginia, when the Woodberry Forest football team made the trip to practice on Tuesday morning. The 2016 offensive tackle discussed the visit and his impressions.

“It went really well,” said Clark Yarbrough after his visit to Virginia. “I had a good time.”

Yarbrough made the trip on Tuesday to see the Wahoos’ morning practice with his Woodberry Forest high school team.

“It was definitely good to see coach (Scott) Wachenheim and coach (Mike) London getting after the guys at practice leading into a game week and coming off the UCLA game. It was definitely something new.

“They definitely seemed confident; they were really intense. It was definitely like a scrimmage; it is definitely great to see.”

The Virginia legacy was not able to see UVa in action against UCLA due to his own scrimmage, however, he is impressed that the offensive line did not allow a sack against the Bruins.

“That’s definitely an important thing that coach Wachenehim talked about.”

Yarbourgh is already planning his return to Virginia, and he won’t be alone.

“I am actually going to be at the Louisville game with two of my teammates, Lindell Stone and Michael Davenport.”

Stone is a 2017 quarterback who picked up an offer from the Wahoos during a camp this summer. Davenport is a wide receiver and safety for Woodberry Forest, but he is also an All-State track star for the Tigers.

“Mike didn’t really play much last year, but he recorded some freakish track times, so they (UVa) are definitely showing a lot of interest in me. They were all over him today.”

College coaches have been all over Yarbrough since the evaluation period began. The four-star offensive tackle has added offers from West Virginia, Arkansas and Arizona State. He is planning to take more visits in the coming weeks so he can get acquainted with many of those colleges.

“I’m looking to get over to Vanderbilt this season. I have visits scheduled to Florida and Michigan for games.”
