Desmond Cain is ready to make some trips this fall.

I want to take a visit during one of my bye-weeks. I know I want to take a visit to Virginia and I know I am going to Illinois on September 20th.”

The Cavaliers offered the Delray Beach (Fla.) American Heritage defensive back in the spring, and ever since then the Wahoos were a favorite.

”It’s in the ACC,” he said. “(UVa assistant Mike) Archer is a very cool guy. I like him. We don’t really talk about football, we talk more about academics.”

Illinois and Rutgers, however, are also two schools Cain is also interested in finding out more about.

”(Illinois) offensive coordinator coach (Bill) Cubit is a really cool guy. He tells me a lot how they can use me in their system. I had a friend that played for him, and he loved every bit of Illinois.”

“If football doesn’t workout, I want to have some sort of education. And from what my dad tells me Rutgers is a really good school.”

Cain hopes to make his decision on signing day and he will be looking for a few factors when he does make his choice.

”I want to feel like I am in home and if I need anything I just want to go to the coach and tell him exactly what I need. I just want to feel like I am home back in Florida. “
