CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va.- Virginia is heading to its third College World Series in six seasons, after beating Maryland 11-2 in the Super Regional on Sunday night. The 'Hoos talked about the accomplishment after the game.

Virginia punched its ticket to Omaha after beating Maryland 11-2 in the Super Regional. This will be the third College World Series appearance in school history, all coming in the last six years.

Kenny Towns led the team on offense going 3-for-4 on the night, while Josh Sborz earned the win on the hill, pitching seven shutout innings, allowing only four hits and striking out nine to improve to 5-4 on the year.

The Wahoos will open competition on Sunday against Mississippi.
