Two Stand Out for Buckingham

HENRICO, Va.- De'Monte Buckingham had a great night on the court on Tuesday as he netted 22 points in his team's 97-54 win. Scout.com caught up with Buckingham after the game to discuss favorites and a big factor in his decision.

De'Monte Buckingham is one step closer to defending the state crown with Henrico.

Although he had a slow start in Henrico's 5A-South quarterfinal game against Prince George, he ended the half with a buzzer beating three to help him finish the night with 22 points, six rebounds, seven assists and five steals.

After the game he said he had two schools standing out for him, Virginia and VCU. But his brother could play a major factor in his decision.His older brother looks to decide where he will run track next season and UVa and Wake Forest are the favorites per De'Monte.

He hopes to visit UVa this Saturday to watch the 'Hoos play Syracuse.
