Moss Eager to Make Wahoo Debut

Four-star Fredericksburg (Va.) Chancellor High offensive tackle Steven Moss is eager to get to work for head coach Mike London and the Cavaliers. HooNation talked to Moss after his most recent visit to Virginia.

Steven Moss may only be enrolling next July, but he is ready and eager to wear the orange and blue.

"I am pretty hyped about getting down there," said the Chancellor High offensive tackle "I got the date July 7th I believe, so I am looking forward to that date and I am ready to be in Charlottesville."

The Virginia pledge was on Grounds this weekend, when the Cavaliers hosted Virginia Tech.

"It was a good time, it is always a good time when I am out there," stated Moss.

The ‘Hoos lost a tough game against the Hokies 16-6 with a lack luster offensive performance, but Moss is not phased.

"There were a couple of breakdowns offensively not that much defensively. I thought we played pretty good football game there," he said. "I take it as just simple mistakes, things that are easily fixed. When you get us there, me, Turtle (Corwin Cutler) and Jamil (Kamara) on offense that will fix a lot of mistakes. I am just excited to get down there soon."

Four-star Bishop Sullivan Catholic wide receiver Jamil Kamara has UVa in his top three, but Moss says he plans to come to Charlottesville, whenever Kamara does make his official.

"We'll get him," he joked.

For now, Moss is enjoying the chemistry being formed in the current 2014 class.

"Me and Quin (Blanding) have always been good friends," he explained, "he is probably one of the main reasons I committed. Me, Quin, Turtle, Andrew (Brown) and probably Kamara soon all of us are pretty close together."

For now Moss will continue to eagerly await his debut and face teams like Florida State, UCLA and Oregon in next year's schedule.

"I am looking forward to most of those games," said Moss. "It is a chance for me to get in there and prove and show everyone what I can do. "
